Gabriel Cobler
Grew up in Kuna, ID once was a small agriculture farming community outside of Boise, ID. He is the oldest of 5 kids and grew up raising llamas and dairy goats on his small family farm. He spent 8 years as a 4-H member and 4 years as a member of the Kuna FFA Chapter. During that time he showed his llamas at local fairs and shows, served on Teen 4-H board, camp counselor, was an officer for the Kuna FFA. His passion for llamas took him to backpacking and outfitting in various areas in Idaho mountain ranges, as well as competition in the show ring he won the 1999 ALSA Western Regional Showmanship Champion that was held in Salem, Oregon after that he retired from the show ring and later back the Llama Livestock Superentant at the Western Idaho Fair. After high school his other passion of rodeo he begin competing at various rodeos as a bull rider and training and riding horses. During that time he joined the Treasure Valley Lions Club and Rodeo (formerly Meridian Lions Club and rodeo), during that time he served as member, board member and vice president, he was also the assistant chute boss working along with the rodeo president and stock contractors, his job intelled opening the chute gates for the rough stock events and grooming of the main arena and warmup arena during the two day rodeo. Few years later Gabriel was asked to join the PRCA EAGLE RODEO in Eagle, ID. where he helped with set-up and tear down and helping run chute gates during the four day rodeo. Gabriel also spent 11 years working for ALSCO- American Linen as a route driver, then he followed another dream of going to College of Western Idaho and graduated with a degree in Commerical Drivers. His first 5 years as a truck driver he worked for May Trucking as a driver, driver trainer and also a safety coordinator. He took a small short break from truck driving and went to the oilfield in North Dakota. He missed the road and found himself hiring on with Wilson Logistics in Springfield, MO. He was a lease operator and traveled all 48 states but mainly spent most of those years east of the Missouri River. NOW, he says he lives in his “FOREVER HOME” since he was a small boy he has always wanted to live in Montana, now his dream came true and is living here in Lincoln, MT he lives with his fiance Cass and her two daughters and attend Blackfoot Valley Bible Church, he was newly elected on the Lincoln Rodeo Club board and is the new chute boss for our 4th of July rodeo. His goal is to help bring his experiences to the community of Lincoln and Lincoln Sewer District, growing up and even as an adult he still follows the 4 h’s in 4-H: “HEAD, HEART, HANDS, HEALTH- For my club, my community, my country and my world.
